"  SPO was the first place I found community and said, 'There is something different here.'  "

The need to do life with people is key and biblical. It's not that it needs to be perfect, it's that life needs to be lived together.

You go through your life being told where to go. In college you are asked which path take, and there are a lot of opportunities and framework there. Once we leave college, there is no framework and people's lives take different directions.

I had community in college and post college and nothing really stuck. I had many friends but I didn't have community. SPO was the first place I found community and said, 'There is something different here.'

Doing life together is different from friendship. Community is a relief and lightens the load of life.

"  The big thing that's really makes my life different through SPO is consistent community.  "

The big thing that really makes my life different through SPO is consistent community, the Monday dinners, worship nights, my small group.

Over the last couple years I've been involved in a men's small group. We all have our stories, and for me there's been some things I've experienced in my life that have left some spiritual or personal wounds. At some point, I had just kind of accepted that this is the way life is going to be. In my men's group, though, these wounds have begun to heal, and this is has been really powerful.

It's been so good for me to have a place where I can open up and be intentional about seeking the Lord with other men.

]Having a community has really been what's sustained me.
